Just a quick dragon head tutorial. It shows how I go about sketching the head.
First I start with a circle. Second, a line going from the center to the circle, outward, its length almost twice the radius. The bottom of the eyes rest on this line, as does the top of the snout. Third, a line that's tangential to the bottom of the circle, and parallel to the previous line. This will be a guide for the jawline.
Next draw in the actual lines for the snout. Only practice can tell you how to make it flow together with the circle!
I'll post a tutorial for drawing the head at almost any angle, even those tricky 3/4ths views.
