Went out practicing a lil bit'o'bushcraft yesterday or the day before...can't remember which day this one was. Decided I wanted fire! Glorious fire! But I wanted to practice it...without using a lighter, or matches.

Wandered about, hand-picked the dryest, most suculant peices of wood from natures own forest. Add a sprinkling of white birch bark for flavouring, and the proper application of sparks. ^^
I think some of the wood had been there a few months or more, and we've had glorious sunshine for about that long. I've had significantly more trouble getting one going in winter...even with lighters.
