I'm a Mewblade addict. If I don't draw her, I go ballistic, get less sleep, am insanely cranky and become disatisfied with anything else I draw. Need to draw her, and need to draw her lots. Problem for me lately with drawing her is that I finished the rough copy of her novel "Where I Stand", and am aimlessly looking around for ideas and inspiration. Kill my character and I get art block, go figure. Now commissions have been helping me barrel through it, but I just need to draw my favorite girl, and not care how or why, thus the weird gesture here.

Called "Framework" since this type of hand gesture forces focus on her face. It's really obvious how that works in the thumbnail, a little less so at full view. Played a lot with the line width in Illustrator, and was aiming for something a little less sinister, but I kind of stuck with what I got in the end. Nothing like forced focusing, and a creepy expression. As I've been told she's kind of got a, "I'm going to do really horrible things to you, and I'm going to enjoy it," expression. Really should draw more pleasant close-ups of her.
