Horse Oracle Illustration info:
The Horse is known for it’s connection to power, freedom, and travel. As one of the main animals that aided the spread of civilization, the Horse is a powerful guide for development, growth, and expansion. Enabling one to tap into an internal power that can inspire steady growth and the building of a firm foundation. Through the creation of a firm foundation, we can find the ability to stand tall and strong for the next burst of creative and intellectual growth. Horses originated in North America over 50 million years ago and then spread to Asia and Europe. The horses left in North America became extinct about 10,000 yrs ago before being re-introduced by the colonizing Europeans. Now, there are approximately 400 different breeds of horse with most of them having been bred for specific jobs such as the Clydesdale being iconic for it’s massive size and strength.
Air
The Air element is known for it's connections to impartial intelligence and clear thought. It symbolizes the breath of life, the flow of energy, and mental thought. This element represents our constant stretch to increase our intellect, to reach our goals, and teaches us to keep our mind and senses open to the flow of energy around us. By doing so, one can be ready for any subtle change in our environment or in those around us. By connecting with the flow of energy within our environment, we can keep our plans fluid, yet firm. If something changes, the day or plan is not ruined. It simply takes a rearrange of thought and action to keep on a productive path. The element of Air teaches us this ability, balancing detachment and emotional intelligence to create a rational and reasoned thought. The Air element is not just the wind that swirls around us, but the vital breath of life.
SweetGrass
Sweetgrass, Hierochloe Odorata, is an herb native to North America and Eurasia. This plant is known for it’s ability aromatic, sweet scent and it’s ability to survive even in the Arctic Circle. It even contains chemicals know to repel mosquitoes such as Phytol and Coumarin. It is even more well-known for it’s importance to Indigenous American tribes such as the Inuit and Metis Peoples. This aromatic plant has difference significance according to which community it is used in, but common uses include being burned in smudges. A plant of healing and purifying abilities, is is aid to remove negative thoughts or influences from a place. Sweetgrass represents the connection of humans to earth.
Iron Rose
The Iron Rose is a form of Hematite that grows naturally into the petal-like shape that earned it it’s name. It symbolizes longevity and youthfulness through it’s symbolism of a rose that never wilts. In another unique and beautiful quality, Hematite, formed of an iron oxide compound, will turn red when ground which was used in ancient times to create a pigment for paints or dyes. This translates spiritually to powerful attributes of transformation, passion, and victory. The Iron Rose aids in allowing us to feel strong in our positive traits and to pour passion into completing goals and becoming well-rounded. Don’t let yourself slack off, but work on grounding to create a firm foundation for your future transformations and victories. Hematite already aids in creating firm grounding for your mind and the iron Rose form of Hematite only strengthens that for creative growth.
