earlier this week i made not one but three separate reference sheets of the martian leader from the mars attacks movie cus i am a normal human being. also this isn’t a rewrite of the movie, im making my own iteration of the franchise by taking elements from the original cards, movie and comics. Decided to give him a fanon name cus referring to him as just “the martian leader” sounds kinda boring and long.

Before Lars became the head of Tharsan City, he was part of the martian army and worked as a soldier. He once had a girlfriend named Atlas, but she was killed by an enemy soldier. After the war, Lars began helping families in need. Because of his history, he is the 800th leader chosen—this doesn’t mean Lars is the first de Luna to be elected Leader, however. Lars also has two pets—Pilot, an orchid mantis, and Rocket, a death’s head hawk moth—both of which are girls and cat-sized.
Although Lars has had history in the army, he has tried numerous times to try and invade Earth but to no avail. After indulging a little too much on Earth food, he canceled his recent invasion and told his fleet to return to Mars.
