To Wargreymon and BlackWargreymon's surprise and confusion, however, their struggles don't seem to be getting them anywhere near loose from the mud, and they soon sink up to their chests. The muck clings to their armor and scales, staining them with the substance.
"I don't think I've ever seen quicksand this strong before..." Wargreymon remarked as he looked down at the sand that was swallowing him and his companion.
"Me neither, but we can't give up now." BlackWargreymon replied nonchalantly, remaining brave despite him and his friend's predicament, lifting his arms out of the quicksand and reaching forward, pressing his gauntlets down onto the surface to try and push himself up, but with no luck. "Damn, this mud is very resistant..."
Minutes passed as the two reptilian warriors continued their squirming, the pit gurgling and bubbling around them as it slowly swallowed them, the quicksand gradually engulfing more of their bodies, dangerously close to their shoulders...
