i spent way too long on this line art for it to look this bad oh my god

Pro Tip! Your characters will never look bad while they are wearing hats if...they never wear hats!

In seriousness, it probably looks jank here because there is the blob of color meant to be the cloth still there to hide his head.
Some notes...
1. I had to redo my plans for the ridges/fin looking things because I realized that the elastic strap for the headlamp needed to go over them...oops. The crest now looks like a...spine?
2. I genuinely hope that the helmet is now a good size for his head.
3. His plate at the front looks wrong to me but I am far too deep within this now to go back. Ugh.
4. Fun fact! His plate actually does/did have his name on it like under the logo but the strap covers it lol.
5. This helmet will have a visor but i am too tired and lazy and upset to draw it tonight ugh----
