"Mahari, please! You dont have to do this!"
"What choice do I have?!" The lioness snapped back, climbing over the rocks that made up pride rocks royal majesty. "You have gone and thrown yourself to Kovu! All the lioness's have found themselves smitten over the other boys. Who do I have?!" The rain pelted down heavily over her fur, forcing her eyes to blink rapidly as she stared down towards the young 'princess', the one she had once called friend. "We promised we would always have each other, and yet now you spend all your time with that OUTLANDER!!"
Kiara bristled, "He's part of the pride now! Just like all the others! If you'd just give them a chance-"
"I dont care! You betrayed our promise. And now there's nothing left for me here. Have fun sharing 'lioness' talk with the others. Im out of here."
Poor mahari. All grown up, and still she has not found a lion she would bother calling her other half. Kiara and her both used to laugh and roll their eyes together about how dumb the other lions where. But now she too had fallen for another...leaving mahari in the dust. She would not stay around and be the only lioness left alone.
