Now here’s a handy revolver with an interesting backstory that actually saw service in the FBI.
This revolver to be more precise is the Model 13-2, it possesses the unique K frame, is double action with a trigger pull of only 6 pounds and has a non-slip rubberized grip.
For the longest time the FBI used the revolver as thier weapon of choice, carrying the Model 10 or the Colt Detective Special depending on which department you were from, but in the early 80s it was time for something new, something a little more modern. In came the Model 13, a powerful revolver chambered in .357 magnum. It was certainly an upgrade in the stopping power department when compared to the old revolvers which used .38 special. In fact it was the last revolver to be serviced by the FBI until they made the switch to magazine fed pistols such as the Glock, Beretta, and SIG sauer in the beginning of the 2000s.
