Concept art of a character I had in mind for a while! Aurubis is the Incubus King who takes over after Sky's father (King Sanguilius) dies (this guy here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/52732626/ ) He was born around the same time as Sky but has a completely different bloodline. He basically takes the place of where Sky would have been if he had still lived his life as a regular demon.

During the period when the kingdom was ruler-less, they would host "battle royales" to find the strongest Cubus demon (usually from noble blood incubi/succubi), and the last one standing would become the next King or Queen to rule. Aurubis came out on top.

Personality wise, Aurubis is incredibly arrogant, haughty, sadistic and cruel... perfects traits for a demon king! He loves to adorn himself with gold and shiny things. During his rule, he didn't care much for the previous king's old, traditionalist tastes and ordered a complete overhaul of the palace he stayed in. Now its about 10x larger and incredibly extravagant, at the expense of draining pretty much all the resources from neighboring demon tribes and clans.

He also possesses a scythe blessed by the "Eye", similar to Sky's scythe/guitar, which is given as a gift from Demon Gods to certain high ranking Demons. Aurubis has never met Sky, though he has heard stories of the old king's purple haired son who would have become king. However, the fact that Sky also possess a similar weapon and possibly even has a stronger bloodline than himself bothers him greatly, and hopes that one day he can finally meet him and get rid of that "mistake" for good.
