WILLIAMSBURG (Va.) - The Williamsburg Minutemen seem to be ever-changing. This trade was just the next step.

Top forward Alan Murphy (Kangaroo, SF) was shipped to the Minutemen from the Pittsburgh Keystones. In exchange, Williamsburg sent veteran forward Adrian Jefferson (Bald Eagle, SF). The trade was Williasmsburg's third of the season.

Murphy smiled as he sat at the conference table. "I didn't think I'd be interviewed this way late in the year," he chuckled.

When asked how he'd get along with his new teammates, the kangaroo shrugged. "They seemed like nice mates when I played them. Doesn't matter if they hate me, though. I'm here to help the Minutemen win."

Another reporter brought up the fact that he probably wouldn't be here next season when he became a free agent. Murphy shook his head again.

"Cripes, this ain't the time to talk about that. Like I said, I've gotta help my new club. After the season, we can talk about where I'm going." he replied.

Minutemen coach Morgan Roosevelt said in a statement that Murphy would start at small forward immediately in Williamsburg's next game, at home against the Biloxi Mudpuppies.
