Crystal here is from the little blue Planet Crystal.
Well, she's so happy go lucky! Not even the greatest amount of "kiddy calm down" will make her tired! She's pretty much the opposite of her companion, Ruby.
There are three types of alien here. We'll call 'em Prey, predator, and shapeshifter. Shapeshifters are pretty much the "sometimes Y" of the jewelian race.
Crystal is a prey-type shapeshifter! She's not meant to maim or hurt in any way of the sort. Just live and survive! That has become MUCH easier ever since she and Ruby crash landed in Pooch's ridiculously large pool.
The locket she holds was given to her by Pooch after the rich bitch finds them a way home. Kind of like an appreciation of the fun they had together.
(Seriously, I can't help but feel like I've uploaded this ALREADY!)

Let me give you a brief history.
A while ago, a "Carbuncle" was said to be some sort of rare animal with a gem on its head. It was like a real-life cabbit.
This was passed down and managed to stay in the lore up until when Final Fantasy was made. Square Enix took use of the legend and made Carbuncle a summon in many of the games.
It looks VERY similar to your character- there are many different forms of Carbuncle, however. Even Konami(YuGiOh) Has inhereted it.

Coincidence or not, their is similarities. I say that the first time I saw this character it reminded me of said crystal beast, but you have to have this in mind that I didn't start a big hassle over this because this happened before to, every artist that has creates Oc would atleast have one that looks like another character. Example:http://rule34.paheal.net/post/view/645194#search=bubbles
that's not bubbles from the ppg. Besides, isn't it weird that yugioh and FF have the same concept?
