This is from spring of 2010. It won two awards in its category at Young at Art, and was displayed in a public gallery along with the artwork of other high school students. Pastel, coloured pencil, and marker were used on bristol board - this was the cover of my art folder in grade 12.
I don't remember the guidelines well, but it was supposed to be relevant to our own interests and tastes. My fursona was a badger at the time, hence the centerpiece of the drawing (although he looks more like a weasel, rofl). I liked the concept of a tiny circus parade on the back of an animal, or conversely, a gigantic animal hosting a regularly-sized parade. And I love ridiculously bright colours, so I got my fix with this.
I'd never posted this to DA/FA before, so I sort of went, 'eh, what the heck' when I came across it in my files again. The download file is HUUUGE over on DeviantART, but the bright side is that you can look at some of the details up-close. :3
Art belongs to meee. And I'm a little more serious about the "no sticky mitts" policy with this piece -- it's more personal than the usual stuff that goes up on my art sites

European badger? Is that the name of a breed? Huh. The more you know! (this guy was just concocted from half-remembered cartoons, so he's not really based on anything real)
Thank you though. :3 It seemed like a quirky concept at the time, so I decided to roll with it. Glad you like it!
