Nice design. Fur-like scales is an interesting concept.

Thank you! It's not very realistic at all but I remember seeing something similar in one of the Dracopedia books ages ago and was kind of enamored with the idea. They still serve the purpose of protection while also having a layer of fur. I like to think once the mane molts off as one chunk of scutes/scales and the ones beneath are just the scales for a while as the fur regrows. Somethin like that at least!
