Here's my latest original piece, which I've actually had "done" for a little while now but had not gotten round to uploading yet. It probably still needs more tweaking but if I tweaked it forever it'd never be done, would it? :P
Onto the actual song itself: The Eternal is the name of the space station where the final climatic showdown occurs in one of my old stories and I tried to recreate that here; it's not the actual confrontation itself but the journey through the abandoned station where I tried to mix the sense of desperation and the upcoming battle with how alone and creepy the station itself is.
Cliche I know and I don't think it turned out as I had in mind but ah well. It's repetitive like most of my work (especially my original pieces) but hey, it helps lay down the theme and gives it a more video-game like feel.
I'm not too sure whether I'm happy with it or not...there are certainly bits I think work quite well in creating a mental image but there are parts where I feel the song is dragging and conflicting with itself too much.
Be sure to let me know what you think, especially when it comes to these original pieces. I understand that my remixes are fairly well-received but I'd like to know whether I should even bother with these mediocre at best originals or if I should just give up and just churn out remixes.
Made in LMMS, converted with audacity. Batteries not included.
