Original description: GMN-005. Mortalis Renamon. Since the Digimon created the Chaos Gods, it was rather inevitable that there'd be the evil sorcerer archetype as part of the 8 Digi Masters who exploits the poor gods' realm for their own ungrateful gain. Though Mortalis Renamon mixes that up with some good-old-fashioned 'racist' Chinese stereotyping and kung-fu. What also makes him stand out from the other Gigatron bots is that his weapon isn't a Mega Buster, but rather a massive-ass staff that uses the power of the warp to destroy stuff. And I don't think I've ever given a Robot Master a pair of trousers before. Moving on to the actual description of this bot.

Mortalis Renamon is a wise and honourable fighter, he was old when even Jetix was young and is respected by Gigatron himself. gifted in the arts of harnessing the warp. Usually, you may expect anyone
given the power to literally inflict free damage regardless of the protection to use it many, many times. Not so with Mortalis, he would rather give his opponent a fair fight, launching kicks and
punches that get increasingly harder to avoid. Once one has shown their worth against him, Mortalis Renamon finally unleashes his forbidden power. The Mortal Wounder. This buster-staff only fires few and
far between bolts of doom, but each shot defies all science and physics, ghosting through armour like a satanic cheat code and glitching the bodies of digitized entities.

Any hope of him suffering from the psychic phenomena known as the Perils Of The Warp are immediately snuffed out when one realises that the Chaos Gods and all other warp things are sworn protectors of all Digimon life, making his powers all the more dangerous.

Between swings of his fists and his signature weapon, Ordna will have a truly desperate fight on his hands unless he knows one thing. Patience.

I actually really liked this new (well, for 2022) design for Mortalis Renamon. Of course I'll be updating Mortalis once and for all this year so this design won't be used, but some of the elements of this design will definitely return. Like his staff, the trousers, the purple and brown colour scheme and the helmet. I want to say that I'm sorry for anyone who was expecting the last three Digi Masters to have their own reference here, but those plans got ruined by DeviantArt's toxic greedy userbase. However, that does not mean that I didn't create the last three Digi Masters this year...
