*oof* I grown up with that Show, I remind in the TV came the Dutch first and German second, ZDF had a live action woman narrator, she played all the key scenes - climbing out of the well.
A dark anime with serious themes and a special humor and his voice actor in both language was genius.
Michael Duckson was one of my faved characters, voice actor and song writer was the Main Creator, Herman Van Veen.
In the opening theme song was implied it was not a western cartoon, a japanese name pops out and shows the anime studio in Japan.
Like the other scalie "cartoon", it was hiden in the credits, I think a long time it was a Dutch-German cartoon, only a illusion.
Today are the most Episodes in German cut in TV and DVD or the running timea are drastical reduced, the decapitated skull in Alfred's cell is missing in Episode 02 and a fast black screen ends the Episode, two minutes are lost in space.
Before I make the scalie project (you know what I mean. ;)) I was thinking at a Alfred Fiction, the big problem is Episode 52 - done in the TV, but it is continued in comics, books and cassettes for a record player and the most are not digital online to buy and listen. The only info from the back cover of the cassettes are: Alfred got married, has a child and the villains broke out.
That's all I have for the future.
