A Scuffed "Royal Ludroth" Comic (Chapter 0, Page 11)
"Preparation Continued".
Summary:
- Grey returns Reiya's hammer (that she "unawaringly" lost from her "fight" with the Valstrax), but not before giving the last bit of advice/warnings to Reiya regarding her expedition (in which, she hesitates slightly but is determined to rescue her Ludroth).
- As Reiya packs her equipment (into her sponge "hair"), Yin wants to give something to Reiya to help with her expedition.
Notes:
- I realized too late that I needed to add a panel of Reiya being surprised to see her hammer again (so uh, just imagine that panel exists >.>).
- I also drew Grey's body way too feminine ~ He's supposed to be pretty bulky and fairly muscular in proportions.

I do :D
I also have a question, how does the power level / level up system works for your universe ?
In monster hunter your power level is tied to your equipment, and that is tied to the monster you have slain and wear as armor.
But in your case, how does it works ?

Good question! ~ I have a fair amount of notes regarding the βPower/Level Up System" that I intend to follow for the "comic" (although, it is not fully fleshed out and prone to change).
---
The βpower levelβ of a monster is determined through 3 notable factors; their monster species, equipment, and combat efficiency.
Monster species:
- Monster species are ranked from 1-10 stars, which indicates their average power level (e.g. Royal Ludroth = 3-Star, and Valstrax = 10-Star).
- More stars = Higher average power level.
- Emphasis on average.
- Based on Riseβs βThreat Levelβ system (not fully accurate in measuring threat level between monsters).
- Significant gap in power level between elder dragons and non-elder dragons (but there are exceptions).
Equipment:
- Weapons typically do not provide βelemental damageβ or βstatus ailmentsβ.
- Armor does not provide βbuffsβ that influence damage.
- Both at best, slightly influence a monsterβs power level.
- They mainly act as an "extension" or "catalyst" of the monster's power level.
Combat efficiency:
- Combat efficiency refers to the monsterβs efficiency in utilizing their strengths and weaknesses (as an individual and species) within combat.
- Plays a significant role in a monsterβs power level.
As for the βleveling systemβ, there is no literal βlevel upβ mechanic, but they can get stronger by gaining combat knowledge, training, learning skills, or improving their arsenal.

Oh, and the materials used for the equipment are often for cosmetic reasons (and partly made from shed materials out of themselves) as a result.
However, if a monster wanted to maximize its power level, it would need to slay and fully carve a desired monster's parts to utilize it and add a somewhat meaningful increase in power level through their weapons.

Yay, her hammer is back and it's certainly made her stronger than before! I know she can get back her Ludroths with this new power!
I didn't see Grey's body as being too feminine, but I would certainly not be opposed to seeing him more muscular! He'd look even better than he already does, I think! I do wonder what our Mizutsune friend has for Reiya though?
