"What are "cores", is that what you want to know after all you've been through? All right, I'll tell you. A scientist can never miss an opportunity to explain his own work.
During genesis, there was a giant named Ymir. Ymir's corpse is the base of the earth we stand on, and his blood became the sea. His two eyes became the Sun and the Moon. The heart that contained all of Ymir's powers shattered and the fragments scattered across the world. The sage Barmunt was fascinated by its powers and conducted countless experiments to create the "Proper Heart of Ymir". Its power was strong enough to fly aeroplanes, and even to power incredible weapons such as the "Guardians".
Rekenber is the company that exclusively manages and sells these "Hearts". However, I began to wonder why we don't implant this power directly into humans. If we do that, won't we get countless powerful living weapons? What if I can control all these weapons at my disposal? I realised that if I achieve this, I will enter the realm of the gods and my name will be engraved forever in the pages of history. However, the experiment turned out to be quite difficult.
I managed to create "cores", which are smaller versions of Ymir's proper hearts. Humans who could not resist its power died and became vicious minds. After that, they lost all their memories and consciousness, reduced to empty shells of what they used to be.
I needed stronger test subjects to advance my experiments to the next level - a subject with a strong will, a strong body and even a strong soul! That's when I found you. As if it was meant to be."
