was going over some memories pending deletion and remembered some scenes from The Sword in the Stone. what a movie XD, I think some of mad madam mim's transformations were transformative for me at the time.
I was always sad when main characters transformed back into human, but this was the saddest of such scenes https://youtu.be/Hm9BYhNHLgo?t=102 and the last frames demanded to be painted.
Also I learned there's a lot of fanart and fan fiction about "hazel" which would be the squirrel if she got transformed into human haha, so let's just pretend that's what happened. ✌️

This was definitely a scene that always struck me as a kid. Even as an adult it just feels so unfair. Yeah she’s a squirrel and not exactly sapient, but the movie portrays her being smarter than that.
She’s so lost and confused that the squirrel she liked is no longer a squirrel. It’s just so…it’s cruel.

Aw yeah, this was quite sad-- I'll always remember her crying after the wizard left. Oooof, as always you get me in the feels with your work. D: In my head I always wished she found someone else, and didn't wait forever for the wizard to come back. :( (Fabulous art though! ..sad feels)
Really good depiction of this scene. It follows some cute moments before the terrible separation. The expression you put there is very touching.
As someone who never knew any relationship, I can feel how sad it must be to lose something so beautiful you just found some moments before. I like to think though that she grew away from this disappointment and enjoyed her life crossing the path of other animals in the forest.

And poor Hazel never learned how badly Wart was punished for breaking her heart. He was thrust into British Politics for the rest of his miserable life.
Let that be a lesson for the rest of you. If you get TF'd into a squirrel and some female squirrel tries to claim you as her mate, don't scorn her! };3
