(ugh, too much beige/tan/brown!!)
Never heard of Space Battlecruiser Yamato / Starblazers?
It's a classic anime series that debuted in 1974. Classic, I tell you!
As was the custom back then, when it was brought to the US they anglicized it; scenes were re-written, altered, or chopped out to make it more kid-friendly (and, frankly, USA-friendly), and it was released under the title "StarBlazers." This mangling couldn't destroy the heart, emotional impact, or the themes of the original (and shockingly, I find some of the changes/interpretations surprising improvements); I fell in love with it as a child & am still as deeply in love with it now. It also has an impressive soundtrack.
Although I'm sporting Susumu Kodai/Derek Wildstar's hairstyle, my uniform is (science?) blue, not (command?) red.
Not that you can see it, but I took great pains to make my eye match Leiji Matsumoto's style.
That's
pedrolerenard paying me an unexpected visit. The black ring around his tail in the 1st panel is scuzz, and is not an error on my part at all. <.<;; >.>;;
On cardstock, with marker, pen, & a little bit of pencil.
