In mid 1912, after the fall of Cetus, Antares turned their atention east and proceded to invade it's long term rival, Kingdom of Aquila. They saw initial success, but soon realized there was major obsticle in the way. Aquila Iron Army (due to them not willing to give up an inch of land) had built many forts, bunkers and trenches know as the Ring of Fire protecting the country heartland.
Antares soon discovered a weakspot in the Ring of Fire, Fort Liberius. They attempted to attack it twice, resulting in failure and heavy loses. In November of 1912, Antares tried a third time to take the fort, but this time with more troops and tanks to penetrante the fort.
The aquilans, caught of guard, advance to stop the anterians advance, only to be pushed back to their bunkers shortly after. Anterian infantry (with help of their tanks) destroyed the bunkers and advanced into the second trench line. The field guns were taken out as the second trench was captured. Antares then moved onto the fort itself, after a while of fierce combat anf heavy loses on both sides, the aquilan defenders retreated.
Woth the fall of Fort Liberius, the Ring of Fire started to collapse.
