Sometimes I have people ask me why I have so many different forms and how I can enjoy them all. The answer to this is both simple and yet complicated at the same time. So, to prevent a lengthy ramble I'll only speak on one or two pieces of the greater reason.
Essentially, every form I have is a Rygone and each Rygone is unique in its own way yet they are all the same person. The best way I can conceptualize this for people is something akin to the Doctor from Doctor Who. A being who, when he dies, transforms into a new version of himself. They are still the same person, but they are wholly unique as well.
But how does this relate to me having various different forms and my enjoyment of them? Well, while I don't particularly consider myself a vain person, I enjoy the concept of exploring new perceptions and experiences. That's one of the reasons I enjoy transformation so much. However, I don't really care to be other people per se. As such, this was a decent way of forming a compromise as well as allowing me to explore myself as an individual and hopefully create the bridge to allow me to improve character-wise.
Therefore, I find value in every Rygonian form. Whether they are more frequently used, such as fiery Vulpix, or rarely used, such as calm Dunsparce, they each represent a facet of me that I can cherish for myself, polish as I see fit, and reveal for others to enjoy as well.
Rygone is conceptually both the present me and the future me whom I seek to become. A pathway towards improvement while still respecting the individual that I am.
It's exploration, wish fulfillment, and progress all wrapped up in a bundle of nice neat little packages. One that grows with every new form I indulge in and explore.
It's honestly exciting to think about.
While that's all I have to say for now I will leave you with this thought.
Who are you?
Genuinely I ask you that question. Who are you?
Are you a name? A job? A duty? A like or dislike?
Are you your relationship to others? Or are you the personal conceptions that you've carefully cultivated over many years?
When you peel back the layers what is left at the very center of it all? Or perhaps, there's nothing there and we require all these given titles to be truly ourselves.
Hmmm certainly makes one think. Doesn't it?
Another fantastic work by Astrophel. Always such a fan of their soft painterly style. Adds such a nice soft touch that I can't help but want to see again and again. At some point, I'll just have to commission me sitting in the middle of a nice comfy bed or pile of cushions from them!

Knowing one's self and learning of your self i feel may be two different things. Like i say to my friends Im just a vixen in a human suit waiting for my time to shine.
But do i truly know myself who i am or even what i am? Not really no but seeing art like this and commissioning art of how i feel helps me. I think it may take me a while and even humanity to find themselves but eventually we do get there.
