It would be a very interesting special, and now Steven would have reason to doubt who he really is. With Pink's personality and memories overlapping hers and to make matters worse, Connie is stopping acting like her friend and being just a simple servant.

I see it possible. Seeing as they establish the gem species as a kind of feminine-looking sentient light automatons, it would make sense that in the depths of the Homeword there would be a central core linked to all of them. And if someone gets their hands on it, they could reset them or destroy them, but here it was the first thing.

This could be since Steven returned to his "factory version", that is, Pink Diamond 1.0. Although it would be fun if "Pink" still has her core personality and memories from version 2.0, Steven.

Regarding Connie, I want to believe that spending so much time with alien gems made her absorb so many microscopic fragments of different gems that at the moment of the reset the fragments were activated, united and turned her into the gem with the dominant fragments.
