I think its pretty on point, and I dun really know what the thing is your trying to talk about.
But I do know it is something that hunts at night and wants to destroy and pillage everything.
and people are afraid of it, and no matter what It cannot be stopped.
I would like to guess a vampire, something mythical, because you said it left at dawn.
Am I in the ballpark?
