Random still from the upcoming Red Lantern page. That's not what Cuthbert's actually saying. . . but he's thinking it.
I have no idea why I posted this. Likely because it's late and this page is exhausting me, and this particular panel just. . . amused me to no end. In one single second of roguish snark and irritated exasperation, the entirety of these two characters' dynamic is told.
Cuthbert and Luther belong to 'Red Lantern', the collab comic between
Alectorfencer and I, which you can read here, if you haven't already: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4260941/

I find specially awesome how good expression can you give to animal faces, without actually making them look non-animal, their face or eyes flexibility or pinchs, their ear positions...
Did you ever actually take reference on how do each species point ears when feeling something?

I would be shocked if she didn't. Seems like one part of really great artists is the ability to study and observe, and I'm not talking 'study in art school and go through life happily remembering everything on demand'. Rukis, what sort of references do you like to use, if I'm not calling that totally wrong? Would it be like RL pictures, or other drawings that worked out really well, or largely from memory? :)
