After the untimely death of the creator, Pl'yzerothas, somewhere in the beginning of the universe, their body soon fragmented into different galactic fractal shards that formed into countless different gods of different origins (also known as remnant gods), whether it was for war, love, plants, you name it, and there's probably a remnant god for it. Some of the fractal shards were defective in the process, so they were pushed away far out into space until they formed different stars, nebulas, black/white holes, or space anomalies with unknown origins.
Z'orvunn was one of these ancient gods who were born from Pl'yzerothas' demise, and he happened to be the one that controlled the void and ruled over any other void entities in the known universe.
