April 12, 1944 is a tragic date in the history of the Kumyk people. Three villages, which for many centuries occupied a central place in the cultural and political life of the Kumyks, were destroyed overnight, and their Kumyk population was deported to the Khasavyurt district and Kazakhstan. A month earlier, on March 20, 1944, the Kumyks were deported from the village of Karasuvotar.
As a result of the deportation, the Kumyks lost their subsidiary farms, houses, household property, the cultural values of the Tarkovsky shamkhals' residence were destroyed, thousands of ancient tombstones from the time of the Khazar Khaganate, the spread of Islam, shamkhalism were demolished. Ancient monuments of art blocked the sewers throughout the avenue. Lenin Street of the city of Makhachkala, as well as a curb. The deported people found themselves in unsuitable climatic conditions, which caused many to die from epidemic diseases, or found themselves in difficult material conditions due to the lack of an agricultural production base.
The hero of present-day Dagestan, after whom the streets are named, Daniyalov, was behind this operation. By an incredible coincidence, the "territories of the Tarkin collective farms" were given to the collective farms of the Gunib district native to Daniyalov, as well as to the collective farms of the Kakhib district. Danilov built himself a cottage above Kyakhulai on Tarki-tau.
It is claimed that deportation is still not officially recognized.
Tatars mourn with you. We are both turkic people (also languages very very similar, when I hear a kumyk language, sometimes I think that's a tatar language).
