I spent an hour drawing Timon's hand and arm in a few different positions. There are obvious mistakes, but I'll get better eventually.

This is a whole new ballpark for me. Up until now, most of my art has been still life, each piece taking me weeks or even months to complete. I even consider the toony pieces still life because of how heavily I had to rely on studying other art.

Now, I'm starting to practice what most artists out there are more familiar with. This is what I've wanted to get good at for years. I have always admired people for their ability to draw things from thier minds with minimal reference. So I begin this long road now, in the hopes that I will be as good some day.

I can't believe I let myself be afraid to try for so long. For 12 years, I was convinced that I'd never be any good at this. I want to thank everyone who helped me clear my mind enough to finally try. I move forward now, propelled by your encouragement (but also by kicking myself in the ass for waiting so long!)
