It has been a few months since the Thousand Year Toast incident in Victoria Peak in Hong Kong. The Dark Dragon is now trapped in another dimension along with the very first dragon temple for the next one thousand years to come, and Chang has been replaced by Luong Lao Shi as the Dragon of China in the Dragon Council, but to prepare for it to come any sooner, the Dragon Council has decreed that their dragon masters has to train their students the hard way in actual combat between dragons. After his grandfather's hearing and promotion, Jake Long, the American Dragon, has been enthusiastically waiting for that kind of training to come, and he hasn't had a proper ringside match since his time in the King Extreme Wrestling League, let alone square off against his grandfather in mixed martial arts. "So we're gonna spar in mixed martial arts, Gramps?" Jake asked his grandfather. "Yes, I wish we could ease into this after the incident at Victoria Peak, but time is of the essence with your Dragon Training, Jake. We'll have to do it the hard way with actual hand-to-hand combat, no fire breaths or magic, just physical strength and martial arts, young dragon." Lao Shi explained to his grandson. "A'ight, I'm always up for a rumble. Anyway, hope ya don't mind I brought Rose and Nigel as well as Spud and Trixie along to watch." Jake said, eager for a proper mixed martial arts bout with his grandfather, and also asking him for permission to bring his friends along to watch. "Of course, Jake, But we will have to vouch for Rose's integrity to the other councillors afterwards." Lao Shi said back to his grandson.
And then the next day, Jake and Lao Shi both enter a mixed martial arts ring set up by the Dragon Council, and Jake's friends come to watch them, as both of them transform into their dragon forms with their new gloves and shorts designed for their dragon forms. "Are you ready, Jake?" Lao Shi asked his grandson as he takes his stance. "I was born ready, Gramps. Let's dance." Jake answered to his grandfather confidently, also taking his stance as well. Then, the bell rings, as Lao Shi swiftly swung a roundhouse kick to Jake's side, who grunted as he took the hit, albeit still standing
