Adorable snake ball
This is my new rainbow boa! Poor thing was a bit traumatized by all the jostling, I think. I paused a moment to snap this pic, but then she went straight into her new tank and I won't handle her again until she's settled a bit.
So tiny! So pretty! I wish I took better photos.

Aw... poor little thing! She'll get over it and I'm sure she'll calm down nicely! She a gorgeous little thing :)
Oh hey, I don't remember, how many snakes do you have? I'm looking to get one (other than a ball python) and can't get a straight answer from people on which they think is the best/most handlable (not a word...).
The top ones that I'm looking at are the rainbow boa, carpet python, dimeril's (there are a couple others like a normal boa constrictor or red tail). Want one that gets bigger than a ball python (that's for sure! though I wouldn't be opposed to a children's).
Anyways, good luck with her!

I have four. :) Ball python, corn snake, pacific gopher snake, and rainbow boa. :) If you'd like something bigger than a ball but easy to handle, I might suggest redtail. My brother has one, and I've handled several, including some fairly large (7ft or so) They're good tempered and easy to care for.
I prefer small snakes myself. Rainbow boa is as big as I'd ever get, and while they're quite long, they don't weight much, they're much more slender than a python. Obviously I'm still new to owning them, but everything I've read says they're not too hard, just be prepared to get bitten a lot while they're young, (I've been bitten by one that wasn't even mine) and be prepared to do a bit of work to keep humidity high enough for them.
I don't know anything about dumeril's or carpet pythons, I've never been around one.
