So when thinking about what sidekicks I liked in media for this prompt, I was reminded of my all-time favourite game buddies - Wheatley.

Yes, he's an idiot. Yes, he got us into bigger pickles. And yes, he betrayed the player after being plugged into the morally questionable Aperture 'Science' testing machine.

But look, the way portal 2 pitched it to me was that me ‘n Wheatley were gonna go on adventures and have us some shenanigans. He'll probably get us into more trouble than get us out of it, but I was fully down for that.

For me, I saw the little idiot ball and was like:

*points* Fren. C:

So when he got crushed by Glados I was like:

WHEATLEY! NO! ;O;

When he came back, I was like:

WHEATLEY! BEST FEND. C8

When he betrayed us I was like :

WHEATLEY. NO. >:O

and when he finally vanished into space, I was like:

wheatley... :C

We'll likely never see his likeness again in future instalments of portal games, but I do hold a small hope he'll get out of his orbit around the moon, say sorry, be friends again and find us more trouble adventures. I love me some Glados potato buddy time, but Wheatley held more of that 'sidekick' Energy.

I AM OWED SHENANIGANS.

Oh, and who else tried to desperately catch Wheatley with their face? I mean, if the game refuses to give me an option to catch him with my hands/portal gun, I'm gonna use my face. >:C
