My ghouls only attack living people either out of desperation (nothing else for them to eat that they have access to) or preference (they were a cannibal serial killer and that's why they were cursed into a ghoul), though. The second doesn't apply to Vicious and the first is easy to avoid by just giving him food, so he's generally safe!
