I do like the drawing. I think this would look nicer if you added a light bloom coming from behind him.
Make a new layer, set it to "screen" and get a large, low opacity brush. Then paint around the outside of the wolf where you think some light would overlap. It's a tiny trick I learned from Penny-Arcade, but it helps!
