Name: Nicolas 'Nick' Tannoir
Age: 15
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Amber
Features: Amber eyes and stylized brown hair. Aside from that, seemingly an average young man.
Abilities: Being a mystery buff, his class of 'detective' grants Nick abilities pertaining to problem solving and detecting clues. During a crime scene, he is able to slow down time, but the ability is out of his control; a signal that something went wrong. The closer he gets to solving a case the faster he seems to move until time resumes its proper speed and path. His main weapon, a supposedly average flintlock pistol, it's seemingly empty save for one bullet, and he has to fiddle with the hammer until all the pieces are put together. At which point the gun “awakens” and turns gold. That one bullet will always hit and find its target. No matter where they hide or how they move. A bullet of justice fired by a true lawman will always bury into the heart of evil.
Other than that. He has to talk like a grizzled detective and speak in film noir lingo. He doesn’t really but he gets a buff to his linguistic and charisma stats when he does. And he usually does so to signify he’s switching towards his business mode. He has naturally high intelligence but he can’t cast magic beyond a basic fire spell that only goes to his finger tip, a basic shadow spell that hides his face in darkness no matter the time of day… and a god tier water spell. That only creates a rain cloud in a small area and only over his head. It’s so he’s constantly drenched in rain. He can lit up a cigar and the night. And he can hid his features for style point. He also has an immunity to poison, which makes him immune to smoking hazards, but the immunity to other poisons happens only if consumed via drink. He can swill booze and get drunk but his tolerance to alcohol is higher than a dwarves.
He also has deep seated insomnia. No control over it. But it makes him immune to sleep magic paradoxically and he can only rest upon the resolution of a case. He can always tell when mischief is to follow a peaceful period as his sleep gradually worsens until he can’t sleep at all. Such cases have at times led him to walking into a guard garrison in his pajamas and announcing himself. Blessed by the Goddess of the Night, he was given the secret ability of Tireless. He cannot die from sleep exhaustion and cannot lose stamina no matter what.

Backstory: An average student living an average life while dealing with childhood friends turned egocentric yet talented and popular cliches, that all changed when they suddenly got taken to another world via summoning spell to fight a terrible demon lord and save the land from evil. While his friends became the hero's party due to their talents, he was given the shocking class of 'detective', as Nick is, in truth, a mystery buff and a clever young man who has his own talents. As such, while his friends go have their typical adventure, he stays in the kingdom proper and investigates the crimes and mysteries happening within its very walls, and could very well affect the world around them. Nicolas 'Nick' Tannoir is the Isekai Private Eye.
Personality: While trying to just live a normal life when he was in his home world, Nick was hardly anything but passive even as he was labeled by others as not having many talents. He's just not interested in the judgment of others, much less the excuses who commit cruel deeds. He also didn't think too highly of how his childhood friends started getting bigger egos as they got older and more popular, but still, they had a friendship of sorts. That said, it did strain a little since their first incursion as a hero party didn't work out for Nick, and thus he was voted out of the party. At the very least, since he's a mystery buff, he takes his class VERY seriously and with enthusiasm for the role, and the intelligence required for it.
