There were once two kittens, they lived together in a damp, dark jungle. It was practically pitch black underneath the canopy of trees. One day the two kittens wanted to see what was beyond the foliage, so they started climbing up the closest one.

One paw in front of the other, the kittens slowly made their way up the immense trunks, claws digging into the woody bark. After a few hours, the two kittens finally reached a landing, a reprieve from all the clawing.

As the two kittens sat on the large branch, they questioned why exactly they were going through the trouble of climbing to the top anyway. The two thought long and hard about what was above their jungle home, throwing ideas out at each other.

"I bet there's a big fish at the top!" The first one said, "Are you kidding, there's no water up there, how could there be a fish?"

The first kitten scowled, "Have you seen how much rain falls from above the canopy? There has to be fish there!"

The second kitten looked curiously at the water falling around them and replied, "You might be right, let's keep going."

The two kittens resumed their climb up the tree, getting closer and closer to the apex, until they finally pierced the leafy ceiling. Stars, the pair saw a sky absolutely littered with stars. There were countless stars, the kittens had never seen stars before, being underneath the leafy canopy their whole lives.

The two shared an embrace as a shooting star streaked across the lit-up sky. "I wish this moment could last forever." Said the first cat, the second cat responded with a kiss and said, "It can, let's stay here forever." The pair continued embracing and slowly fell asleep under the starry sky. The jungle is quiet. Just the way they liked it.
