This likely explains a lot. If what he/it/they says is true, then they are a conglomeration of all the people who lived and died, both current and past civilizations of other beings. In that case, perhaps all the current people who die will become part of them too.

That likely explains their high mighty attitude as well. . . .but more importantly, how does this affect the idol in the long term with losing people that were once part of it to this other entity?
