So since I started volunteering at my local animal shelter I have fallen in LOVE with American Pit Bull Terriers. Given the chance, they are really sweet and amazing dogs. I would honestly never own one though. They need a lot of attention and time to be trained really well, otherwise they act out. I just don't have the patience XD That and I plan on living in an apartment and most complexes don't allow pit bull type dogs.
Its sad though, to see so many other dogs at the shelter get way adopted ahead of the well mannered pit bulls. I've even heard of people telling staff members that we shouldn't have pit bulls. Which breaks my heart. These dogs are not all bad. Just like humans, they are not all perfect.

Thank you for volunteering at your animal shelter.
We just rebuild our animal shelter a few years ago, it's like four times bigger, they relocated so the animals have a HUUUGE area to play in...Plus, it's in a more trafficked area, so more people come in, play with them...Adopt them. <3
It's always good to see a pup or a kitten go to a good home, huh? :)

And I absolutely love volunteering at the shelter. Best decision I've ever made. My shelter has been trying to relocate for YEARS but has not able to raise enough money. Its a fairly large building already, we're just looking for something larger to hold more animals.
