Movement 2. Shorter and much less dramatic than the previous movement.

This movement is in rounded binary form. Section A is a simple melody in F# Major, (the note which the suspended chord at the end of the previous movement was gravitating to resolve on). The character of the section is overall innocent. Section B starts with a call back to the drama of movement 1, then the proper starts. Section B is more dance-esque. The Mahler influence here is most clear I think 🫣. Then A section returns without repeats.
