It's been a dog's age, but I've gotten back into the sculpting. Darkstalker is from the book series "Wings of Fire". This guy has his own origin novel that I have read twice in two months, something I've never done with any other book. Unlike most villains I've encountered, this guy has a lot of layers to his personality. According to his creator, Tui Sutherland, Darkstalker is based off of her ex boyfriend that she left behind when she was 16. I can believe that for this guy reminds me of my ex as well as a few phlegmatic ex-roommates that I've left behind years ago.
Since this is the year of the dragon, the next scalie I'll be working on is considerably more cheerful. KInkajou will hopefully not take so dang long to make.
