Gang is a farmer who came in contact with a strange liquid deposit that had accumulated in one of his paddies. It gave him the power of the elements, which helped him grow his crops
out of season and at an unprecedented rates, allowing him to harvest such bounty, and providing much needed foodstuffs to his town. Unfortunately, such fortune had not gone unnoticed,
and fearing rebellion, the Elites of Silk sent their general to deal with the farmer. Though one would believe the farmer's affinity to the elements would offer him
a fighting chance against the elite army man, the general has powers of negation.
General Kai, however, is a man foremost of diplomacy, and offered Gang a place among the "Silk Belts" soldiers, much to their dislike, or he could be executed under the emperor's rules
if he refused. The option was clear to the farmer. Not only had his choice forced him under the thumb of the ruling elite, but it had deprived much resources of his fellow common folk.
This would also sour friendship Jin, Gang's long time friend, and their people's hope for independence.
He would come across several individuals that would free not only him, but the general and another silk belt named Bao as well, from servitude, when they discover the otherworldy
atrocities the elites had brought into the fabric of the universe.
He is essentially a Pandaren sumo wrestler avatar Invoker that has D3 monk/D2 assassin charged attacks.
Although he does not need to do complex incantations to make abilities, he remains a complex
user of elemental powers.
Unlike our world, sumo and the like are still in its infant stages, with rules being put in place and the kind of loincloth being designed. Also, during this time, chivalry (bushido) is non-existent,
so coming across an elite swordsman is almost a guaranteed death sentence. General Kai is still working on the code of ethics. In other words, things like morality and discipline are in
development. Not a nice timeline or world to live in.
