APRIL FOOLS! Yeah, I ain't doin y'all dirty like that, Dino Daycare will have proper Dinosaurs, instead of filthy humans.

Also I'm surprised some people took this seriously like, as if netflix actually wanted to turn the series of some random nobody diaper/babyfur artist into a proper show, heh. as if that will ever happen...

Yep, you saw the title right! Dino Daycare is getting a reboot, because it's coming to TV very soon!

The reason I've been so silent on the whole Dino Daycare deal was because, well... Some company saw my series online, and were interested in turning it into a PROPER show!! Which is super exciting! Unfortunately... I had to redesign the characters as they were running on a pretty short budget and couldn't model the Dinosaur designs I made, and they said they needed human characters instead.

This deeply saddened me, because a huge part of the charm was them as dinosaurs. Still, I hope that despite the controversial new take on these characters, I assure you that they're the same dinos character-wise you know and love from previous artworks! Don't worry though, they told me that they will have the power to 'Dino-Up!' which are like some cool dinosaur themed power armor they will wear on their adventures! And of course, each member's armor will be based off their old dinosaur designs! I can't use "Team Hell Creek" because of the "Hell" part, so they will be called the Dinosquad instead! Which I do think has a nice ring to it!


They also wrote some descriptions for the characters, so here they are!

Maxwell is a quick, agile, and smart kid! Much like his Dino-Up; The Velociraptor! He's the one to turn to when you need to get something done fast, or with some extra smarts!

Tracy is strong, tough, and independent. She can take on any obstacle if she puts her mind to it! Making her a great leader! Her Dino-Up is a Triceratops! A headstrong dinosaur just like her!

Dash is a mixture of strength and speed, she will take on any challenge she is faced with and beat it with pride! Her Dino-Up is Pachycephalosaurus! A very tough dinosaur indeed!

Clay is the biggest and strongest of the bunch, with the biggest heart, he can be quite shy, but he's always ready to protect and help his friends, much like his Dino-Up; Ankylosaurus!


Note: I asked why they changed Max's Raptor species to the ol' tired featherless JP Velociraptor, when I think it would be a lot more interesting to have a mainline dinosaur kids show with some more interesting feathered raptors for once, as they were in real life. Still, they said that those Velociraptors sold better, and were just more iconic than the Dakotaraptor and they'll be sticking with this. So yeah, if you see inaccurate Velociraptors in the new show, just know that it wasn't my idea.

Edit: They told me that I had to cover up Clay's diaper, I tried telling them it was a significant part of his design, but they told me that by portraying him as such, I'm advocating for kids who watch it to stay in diapers, and I must change it, so I might need to remake this piece slightly.
