Old pony. :3 I wanna do another custom pony sometime in the near future. Just wish my airbrush wasn't on the fritz.
This is my most popular thing on dA. Hands down. >< Damn ponies, why must you take over!?! LOL Not like I mind.
I used to do customs of these, 30 buck and up. :D Mostly because I have to buy hair and the pony. Lower if people supply those. :P -needs to do more regardless-
Alright, back to the artings I must do. -flees-

Holy POO this is so awesome!! haha, I think you're one of the best pony-customizers I have seen so far!
Have you, by chance, tried sculpting / adding directly onto the ponies yet? I know it can be done, I just wish I could remember exactly how.. I saw a tutorial on how to do the same thing with barbie dolls, but now I can't remember where the tutorial was located.
In any case, the artist used tools to gently "shave" off bits and pieces of the plastic, reshaping the doll's features .. and she used some sort of.. I don't know, plastic maybe? So sculpt over certain areas, adding onto it.
Well, needless to say, in the end, the doll looked absolutely nothing like a barbie doll.. Maybe tht would be something interesting to try with the ponies sometime?

-blush- Thank you! <3
Oh lots of people actually use scuplty around the feet of the pony or for horns or wings. I actually own a pony who's feet have been resculpted. I personally like choosing the ponies body the fact if I want wings or a horn. While some look very nice with these additions, they sometimes distract a great deal from the end product.
I've thought about doing it, but it is a delicate process, considering that you have to bake the pony. :O I might try doing it though. I have some extra bait just chillin' out in my closet. >3
Right now I'm thinking about trying to add largeish dragon wings on a pony that isn't pure sculpty. Might actually work on that once I get done with my artings. :3
Thanks again!

I think people are just at a stage where redesigning the old is cool (I mean, look at a lot of the new cars coming out... based on older styles but modernized. Plus, look at all the MLP art here.)
Ok, enough of my musings. I really like what you did here. Absolutely love the hair! The black on the legs is awesome, too.

Well, a long long time ago, in an interwebz far far away, before I was actively involved in any furry sites, I hung out at the pony boards. I was mainly a lurker though. But then I found out that pony boards like to spawn demons and an insane amount of drama and witches, and I decided to not be a part of that community anymore. Doesn't mean that I don't love ponies still! But some of the pony collectors were furs, and thus, the pony virus spread. >D
All silliness aside, ya, I can totally see this EXPLOSION of MLPs in the fandom, and in other places too. It humors me. :D
Thanks! My airbrush now has gone to splattering (I have no idea what's wrong with it) so I don't have as a fine gradiant anymore. ;__; Oh well. xD

Could your airbrush be plugged up with something? *scratches head*
I remember being a HUGE MLP fan when I was younger. And I made a template so I could redraw all the ponies and unis and pegusus. Before I moved to college, I went through my stuff and found all these photocopies of my templates!
Speaking of MLP art *digs through really old artwork* here a remake I did a LONG time ago thanks to a guy I had a crush on: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/1737425 (I don't use that account anymore, though. And I am not going to repost it on FA).
Pony viruses... I'll have to ask my vet friend about those. ;) Here's to pony love! (that sounds dirty)

I'm not sure. I've cleaned the barrel a million times, changed needles, cleaned the needles, taken the thing apart and put it back together tons of times too. And now the paint doesn't lift as well either. Oh well, it's an old, cheapie airbrush.
All my ponies are happily stored away in my closet, awaiting the day they will return and take over... >D
