Plus the whole thing about being under contract to marry the Heir and be "Sire Consort," yet have to remain a virgin until marriage to a woman he not only doesn't love, but would probably try to kill him, if he doesn't commit suicide first...
I fear it's more of a reverse. He has been forced to see sex as something to be afraid of. He can't see it as something buy a threat both because there probably were other candidates for the position of Heir who might have wanted to either violate the contract or hurt him financially or who knows. He probably was even given pavlovian conditioning due to his glasses have porn filters. Which probably ment he could walk to the beach or even pass a person wearing questionable attire or even someon female being nice without being blinded or punished. Its basically the idea of growing up with people who all habe ulterier motives for being nice to you ans knowing it, imagine the trust scene from my little pony FIM and put it in the perspective of someone who has been pranked or tricked all their lives. Does this make sense?
