Now, pro tip for sounding like a Brazilian: you are right, we shorten the name of the band - but for just "Mamonas" as this is the noun ;). That is the name of the castor bean (Ricinus communis) and can also means... big tits :D. Word plays at their finest!

Man, the fandom is pretty diverse. From grumpy uncles "it was better back then" to TikTokers teenagers born in the 21st century, some people that mention the accident in too many unnecessary details (pro tip: just DON'T), people metaphorically fist fighting with words because the biopic was bad (it's said), fellow Latin Americans, people that had some sort of life-changing revelation (???), guys who worked with the band, the RELATIVES (some of them are actually super cute and lovely with fans). And it is like. DOZENS of THOUSANDS of people. A bit intimidating for a smol rat, so lurking is my sport. Or mentioning Star Trek :D.

But if I ever mess with them, like a good cunning little creature would do in some especially happy day, I'll be sure to mention a guy from distant Saint Petersburg that already knew about the wordplay of the band's name. I hope it brings them sparkling joy, as much it brought me!
