My girlfriend
hunterbeinghunted 's Lynxian character Rufina found a new poncho!
Well, maybe not exactly "new", but better than nothing, right? :P
Days ago we were talking about how cute she'd look wearing a poncho, and I couldn't resist, I just HAD to draw it!
I just love this character and her two found siblings Eka and Tokar so much, they are such a bunch of adorable gremlins!
If you want to know more about them, check out my gf's page!

SHE IS SO CUTE! That scrunkly face with giant whiskers is sooo cute! Thank you so much for drawing her <3
I will absolutely make that Poncho canon (like I said elsewhere) she needs it to have rain coverage and for whenever she needs extra warmth :P I think it is in good condition.. good enough for gremlin like her anyway!

Need a good washing and something rubbed on it to give it a better smell, ditto for the poncho. Really cute character and yes, that poncho has character too. Somewhere I have a green hooded waterproof one from the early 90s - university student union bookstore purchase - massive downpour started just after walking into the building, no sign of letting up for hours. Saw poncho on a clearance table and went mine! Big enough to even cover my packpack/book bag. Have another one made from a mexican blanket - sort of a Clint Eastwood one from his 1960s westerns.

I see what you did thar!
P.S. Easiest/cheapest (Yet amazingly effective!) poncho I've used when in need, was a very large garbage bag, one hole in the center o' the bottom, two at the corners, and *VIOLA* insta-rain-detterant!
Bit 'Crinkly' though, so don't recommend for hunting!
:-D

Lordy, lordy, talkin' 'bout smelly critters?!
Growing up on a combination sheep, goat, cattle ranch, complete with chickens, ducks, and the occasional 'Game fowl' (ie, pheasant/guinea-hen/etc..) added for menus, there are so many aromas I do NOT miss! lol
Out in the wilds, the worse/closest I've suffered is elk/moose in rut. Those horny beasties LUV pissin' in depressions they gouge out, and then rolling in the 'Mud.' Apparently their consorts find this,,, affectation a positive, though for the life of me I cannot imagine why/how?!
Probably the worse critters I've been around for any length of time, is pigs. Unless they're housed in VERY well maintained (Or built to self clean) pens, pigs and their manure/urine is nearly enough to make me vomit, and I've been nose-touching in some very nasty things in life (Won't gross you/anyone out with it, but think 'Animal Husbandry/Veterinarian' type stuffs, then x 3!).
Kittys? I love 'em, truly I do! Kittys than can EAT me? I luv THEM from a safe distance, tyvm!
(I'll tend to my domestic's litter box, 'cause I agreed to this duty when I saved the little scamp. Nothin' about it is 'Fun' however!)

Been stalked by one puma - was following tracks and noticed they went off trail. Heard something in the brush behind me - Back country Sedona AZ area. I turned, scanned area started talking as I drew a pistol - CZ52 - very loud 7.62x25 Called out and said I'm putting one in the ground - wham Saw large tawny cat heading other way as my ears rang. Had one walk by me at night in my yard. Just held very still and she didn't bother me. Amazing to see up close but damn....

Mtn. Lions/Jaguars, hell even Lynx have been known to ambush people, and their preferred angle of approach is from behind (Then that neck bite take-down).
I didn't give this enough respect for far too long, but I was lucky (I wasn't on their menu at the time?).
Now that I've got (And always will have), my trusty Doggo, HE isn't perfect, but his senses are superior to mine, and when we're out-and-about, he's off leash, so usually scampering around me in circles, checking out things.
I've seen track of Mtn. Lions, and I THINK 'Scat' (Not a professional about these things), and once a very pungent 'Kitty-pee' cloud around a line of trees/bushes, which by themselves were enough to tell ME to 'Exit: Stage Right' from that area!
LOVE the outdoors, but folks gotta understand, the second we venture out into 'em, WE become part of the Food Chain, and I ain't talking the 'Topmost' brick either!
