There's one thing I'm wondering about Cresprits for when I eventually repost this. Are they meant to be spirts summoned into and merged with objects or summoned from objects?

They are summoned from objects, even if maybe some of them can merged with their object with their special abilities :)
After being summoned one first time, the cresprit can return to his object or a other thing to stay next to his master (like a necklace or something, in your case, I don't think you can go everywhere with this lamp lol, so a little necklace with a bolt symbol or something can "carry" your cresprit when you're not next to his/her original object)
