Commission for Burt as a surprise for his new wife, Haley. This is my interpretation of them as anthro/furry characters. I chose their animals based on what he told me of them both, their likes, dispositions, personalities, etc. A medieval theme came to me as Burt is very much a knight, and Haley is very much a fair maiden in his eyes ;) I chose for her the Amur Leopard based on what I was told of her. It seemed to fit her perfectly, especially the rareness of this feline. I would consider this a "channeled" piece in that I allowed the images and elements to come to me instead of having a solid idea to work with, which is how most of my commissions are.
This was a real joy to create for them, and Burt is the most amazingly awesome guy to work with. It was truly a pleasure :)
