This. This is exactly how your Sephiroth should sound. It has a nice, full body. The low brass/strings hold a good, noticeable bass line. The mid-range brass keeps a good harmony. The upper strings and instruments flow smoothly between melody and harmony, backing off just enough and allowing the other parts to come forward. The percussion is perfect for this arrangement as well; they don't come forward too often, and but they're still noticeable.

I only used timpany as the percussion though. Should I have forced in some other percussion? The original had some pretty heavy percussion but I thought it was a little too heavy so I only added timpany. What do you think I should do?

Yes, but you don't need much. Definitely Snares, although lightly. Maybe some toms.

There is room for large chimes at 1:55, 1:59, and basically after those... ugh, what's the term? refrain? I can't think of it right now, but you know what I mean.

Well, i take back what i said.....no percussion here. But i guess its still ok. I still think your lower strings sound a bit clearer than mine, it might be the music program.
