TL;DR - The two spend time together on Sunny Beach building sand castles and playing volleyball before the two eventually go to relax and lie down, embracing one another. Then Magnus gets pretty nervous before expressing his true feelings to Warez.
The sun, shining its rays through the clouds, makes the day perfect for a beach excursion, as we find Magnus and Warez nestled by the shore. Sand, seen far and wide on Sunny Beach, cushioned their feet walking along the shore as the lapping waves made a tranquil noise. Though today Magnus, usually a dragon of fire and fury, felt strangely subdued. His amber scales, usually vibrant, seemed to dim in the fading light, mirroring the nervous flutter in his chest.
He glanced at his friend, making his heart skip a beat, a strong musclegut dragon with scales like polished yellow Jasper and eyes that looked like emeralds. They'd spent the day in easy companionship, building sandcastles the size of catapults that the waves relentlessly demolished, playing beach volleyball with dragons as the turtles watched from the sidelines, and sharing stories of their past lives, lives before they met, lives that now seemed insignificant compared to the warmth of their friendship.
But as the day transitioned towards dusk, the sun painting the sky in hues of orange and rose, a different kind of warmth bloomed in Magnus's heart, a warmth that threatened to melt his usual confidence like molten lava. Had he fallen for his friend, fallen hard and completely? The thought terrified him. What if his feelings were unreturned? What if their bond, forged in laughter and shared adventures, would shatter under the weight of his unspoken affection?
After an entire day full of activities, the two take a moment to relax side by side sharing a beach towel. Being hard to sit still, Magnus turns himself over, the sand shifting beneath him. Warez looked over, their eyes meeting, and the silence stretched, thick with unspoken emotions. Magnus's heart hammered against his ribs, a drum solo in a booming symphony.
"I..." he began, his voice rough, like being choked by smoke. "I... I don't know how to say this, but..." Magnus faltered, the words caught in his throat like a fish on a hook.
Warez, sensing his distress, would caress his friend’s belly and speak up, “What is it, big guy? You can tell me.”
Taking a deep breath, like diving into a cold mountain lake, Magnus blurted out, "I think... I think I'm in love with you." Turning his head and closing his eyes not wanting to see his friend’s reaction.
A silence filled the air once more, but this time, it wasn't weighted with fear but filled with quiet wonder, a shared breath that held the promise of something more. Then, a soft chuckle, a familiar sound that always soothed him to the core, broke the quietness.
"Silly Magnus," Warez teased. "Is this why you’ve been acting a little weird today?” He nudged him gently with his snout before kissing his cheek, giving some silent confidence. “I think… I’m in love too.”
If there was ever a time for Magnus to be full, it would be at this moment feeling full of relief. He couldn't stop the grin that stretched across his face, brighter than any sunrise. As they snuggled closer, the setting sun painting their scales with gold, they knew that their friendship had blossomed into something deeper, something that defied words, something that burned like the embers of their hearts, together.
As the moon replaced the sun, casting a silvery sheen over the beach, they knew that this was just the beginning of their story, a story written in sand, fire, and the language of love that only two dragons could understand.
